Executive Producer

Carolyn K. Robinson is the owner of Alaska’s only high-end production, production services and post company in Alaska, Sprocket Heads, LLC, and a leader in the promotion and expansion of the Alaska’s film industry. In 2008 she spearheaded development, legislative passage and implementation of one of the country’s most forward incentive programs, providing up to 44% in transferable tax credits for filming in Alaska.Robinson works closely with national film industry executives and with the state’s business and political leaders to ensure dynamic and cost-effective productions. Her numerous connections in Alaska’s public, private, Native corporations and aviation sectors opens doors to unique production opportunities.

Robinson is an outstanding team builder, with a proven ability to bring together the best writer, cinematographer, composer, editor and talent to create award-winning television programming and commercials and support high-end and complex feature productions.

Her years of experience in Alaska and beyond, including her work as a producer for The Discovery Channel International Productions and Gannett’s USA Today on TV, have honed her abilities to deliver and manage memorable productions on time and on budget.

Among her documentary projects is the award winning film, Aleut Story, for which she secured public broadcasting distribution, cash and in-kind contributions totaling more than $1million and EMMY award-winner Martin Sheen.

Other projects include production services for Big Miracle, two Crystal Sky Productions (starring Jon Voight), DreamWorks’ Transformers (Additional Photography); Alaska producer MTV’s Music in High Places: Goo Goo Dolls; and producer,  Alaska’s Bush Pilots: On Location with Jared Leto, a highly-rated, nationally syndicated and internationally distributed documentary (Turner Original Productions).

Robinson has also produced TV for five Alaska gubernatorial campaigns and one US congressional race.

She is past president and board member of the Alaska Film Group.

Robinson is currently working on five features planning to shoot in Alaska.
